Tech Savvy Seniors Event

Tech Savvy Seniors Event

21st August 2026

Airdrie Citizens Advice Bureau was delighted to take part in a community information event at the Airdrie branch of the Bank of Scotland, bringing together local organisations to showcase the support available across our community.

Peter Innes from Airdrie CAB noted that  "It was incredibly encouraging to speak with so many people throughout the day and hear such positive feedback about the services provided by Airdrie CAB. The event gave us an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the free, confidential and impartial advice we offer, while also connecting residents with a range of valuable local support services".

"We were particularly pleased by the interest shown in our Tech Savvy Seniors Project, which helps older people build confidence in using digital technology. The project provides friendly, practical support to help participants learn essential digital skills, stay connected with family and friends, access online services safely, and make the most of smartphones, tablets and computers".

"The response was fantastic, with 12 people signing up for our next digital workshop on the day. This demonstrates the growing demand for digital inclusion support and the importance of helping people develop the skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital world".

Airdrie CAB would like to offer a big thank you to Bank of Scotland for hosting the event and to everyone who stopped by our stand to learn more about the services available through Airdrie CAB. We look forward to welcoming our new participants to the next Tech Savvy Seniors workshop and continuing to support local people across Airdrie and the villages.
