SCVO Report Details Reduction in Voluntary Sector Funding
The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisation (SCVO) has published a report highlighting public sector funding to Scotland’s voluntary sector has fallen by £177m in real terms since 2021.
The report highlights the amount of money provided to third sector organisations froze between 2021 and 2023, resulting in a 5% cut in real terms.
The SCVO has called for public bodies to implement a new Fair Funding model including longer-term funding of three years or more and inflation-based uplifts.
