Become a CAB Adviser!

Would you like to make a real difference in your local community?

We're looking for volunteers to join our next CAB Adviser Training Programme, starting this autumn.

As a CAB Adviser, you'll provide information, advice and support to people facing a wide range of issues, including benefits, debt, housing, employment and consumer problems. For many clients, reaching out to CAB is the first step towards resolving a difficult situation, and the support you provide can have a significant impact on their lives.

While no previous advice experience is necessary, applicants should have good communication skills and be comfortable with reading, writing and basic numeracy, as these are essential aspects of the adviser role.. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support, helping you develop the knowledge and skills needed to advise clients with confidence. You'll also gain valuable experience in communication, problem-solving, research and customer service.

If you're a good listener, enjoy helping others and have at least 7 hours to spare each week, we'd love to hear from you.
